Dealing with Federal DOT Regulations across the board is tough enough!
But when it comes to State Regulations — each state has its own process.
And it seems someone could move the goal posts at any time…
Medical Examiner’s Certificate – New and Renewal
It is the commercial driver’s responsibility to ensure that they get a copy of their current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC) to their state drivers license department to keep on file with their Commercial Drivers License.
DLD may accept a copy for renewal in person, by mail, fax, email, or online submission.
Each state differs in their process for receiving the MEC.
