We’ve been in this location for 25 years. We do over a 1,000 physicals and drug tests a year. We’re here to help drivers get their CDL certificates. We are not here to prevent drivers from being able to drive.
Here is some advice for any driver reading this…
Some truck drivers are concerned that they will not pass their DOT physical because they have a health condition. They feel if they have a problem (condition) like sleep apnea, high blood pressure, or diabetes that the DOT doctor will fail them and they won’t be able to drive.
The fact is, it doesn’t matter if you have sleep apnea, high blood pressure, or diabetes. Most health problems will never prevent you from passing a DOT physical, as long as you are treating the health problem. When a driver doesn’t treat their health problem is what DOT gets concerned about. Untreated sleep apnea, high blood pressure, or diabetes can cause a truck driver to have a sudden heart attack, a stroke, go blind, or drop into a sudden coma. Anyone of those problems can be devastating to the trucker, and even worse than devastating if it occurs while driving.
I truly care about every driver that comes to my office for a DOT certificate. I care about your health and well being and I will help you anyway I can.

By far one of the most competent doctors for a DOT physical. He sincerely cares about what is best for his patients and addresses the issues. He took the time to work with me and had the patience to help me see my medical condition through. The fact is, the FMCSA (DOT) doesn’t care if you have any of those problems as long as you adequately treat it. When a driver doesn’t treat the problem is when the condition becomes a risk for driving. Sleep apnea, high blood pressure, and diabetes can cause a driver to have a sudden heart attack, a stroke, go blind, or drop into a sudden coma; all of which can be devastating if it occurs while driving.
I truly care about every driver that comes to my office for a DOT certificate and I will help anyway I can.
