Dr. Ziegler is the best. Friendly, informative, and really puts a potentially stressful process/procedure at ease. He’ll definitely work with your hours and bend over backwards to accommodate your schedule. Can’t recommend him enough. Go to see Dr. Ziegler for your DOT physical. You won’t be disappointed.

I was contacted by an Active Military driver today. It seems that while the CDL Medical Card is NOT required, it is looked upon favorably by the US Government. The CDL person stated that he is allowed to drive any type of truck with the US Military, but a CDL Medical card would come in handy if he was driving any non military truck at any time. As a way of helping out our brave men and women serving in the United States Armed Forces, I am hereby offering my services as a Certified Medical Examiner to all Active Military Forces for the discounted price of $60. cash. God Bless America! Effective 12-01-2017.

Thank you dr. Ziegler for the comfortable and professional dot exam and for the rapid scheduling you did for me as my dot was a week away from being up. Will schedule again. Also, get dr. Ziegler’s book, very important info for all professional drivers.

Dr. Ziegler, thank you for your time and relaxed atmosphere while we navigated through my dot physical. I will see you on my next dot physical without a doubt. This is how all dot physicals should go, relaxed, understanding and friendly. To all my fellow brothers and sister drivers out there, being stressed by chain clinics, look no further. Thanks dr. Ziegler. Mike 23 year tt driver

I have been doing the CDL examinations for over 2 years now; at one time I was seeing 40-50+ drivers as an independent examiner for a local truck terminal. What an experience! Happy to say, I am no longer the assembly line “Move ’em in, get ’em out” type of examiner. My clinic is much more relaxing, and driver friendly. Did you check out my video? My waiting room is the grand room of a 1920’s duplex, which my brother bought in 1993. Hopefully, it still has the “old world” charm of yesteryear.
One of the biggest concerns that I address with my drivers is the “white coat syndrome”. Yes, I do wear a white clinic jacket! But my aim is to have a pleasant, comfortable exam, not a rush rush “Let’s see where you screwed up!” type of exam. By this I mean, I have heard war stories of truckers being surrounded by an army of nurses, assistants, each demanding a different type of test result; some drivers have told me that even though they called in advance, and notified the receptionist that they get nervous, and therefore, raise their blood pressure, their requests are often ignored! I give my drivers a relaxing tone of voice, but manner of fact. I pre screen each driver during the appointment, so they know to bring in their medications, CPAP reports, and if they are overweight or not. I also ask if they have hypertension or diabetes; sometimes it’s less stressful to get that out in the open! I also advise them not to smoke cigarettes, or drink orange juice before the exam. (that’s all covered in my book.) In closing, a more personal, one on one testing in a relaxing atmosphere does wonders for keeping the blood pressure, and overall nervousness, down!
